Andrew Nyman (born on 13 April 1966) is a talented English actor, director, writer, singer, and magician. He is known for his many roles in films, TV shows, and plays. Andy was even nominated for a big award, the Laurence Olivier Award, for his role as Tevye in the 2019 London stage show Fiddler on the Roof.

Andy Nyman's Early Life and Career
Andy Nyman was born in Leicester, England, on 13 April 1966. He started acting in the late 1980s. One of his first notable film roles was in 2000 in a movie called Dead Babies.
Soon after, he appeared in the 2001 Emmy-winning film Uprising. In this movie, he played a brave Polish-Jewish freedom fighter. In 2003, he acted in Coney Island Baby. Later, in 2006, he was in the horror-comedy Severance and the British romantic comedy Are You Ready for Love?. That same year, Andy won an award for best actor at a film festival for his role in Shut Up and Shoot Me.
In 2007, Andy Nyman was one of the main actors in the film Death at a Funeral. He also starred in the TV horror show Dead Set in 2008. He played a sneaky reality show producer. He also appeared in the spooky drama series Crooked House.
Andy Nyman has done a lot of voice acting too. He lent his voice to characters in the popular children's series Sarah & Duck and Chuggington. He even played a young Winston Churchill in the BBC drama Peaky Blinders. In 2014, he acted in the musical Assassins and the film Automata with Antonio Banderas.
Working with Derren Brown, the Illusionist
Andy Nyman is also a very skilled magician and mentalist. A mentalist is someone who performs tricks that seem to show mind-reading or special mental powers. Because of his magic skills, Andy has often worked with psychological illusionist Derren Brown.
They have created and written many TV shows together. These include Derren Brown – Mind Control and Trick of the Mind. They also wrote special TV shows like Russian Roulette and Messiah.
Andy and Derren have also worked together on four of Derren Brown's stage shows. These shows have toured all over and played in London's West End. One of their shows, Something Wicked This Way Comes, won an Olivier Award in 2006 for Best Entertainment. Another show, Enigma, was also nominated for an Olivier Award in 2010. Their most recent project together is called Sacrifice, which came out in 2015 and was later shown on Netflix in 2018.
Ghost Stories Stage Play and Film
Andy Nyman is also the co-creator of a very popular horror stage play called Ghost Stories. He wrote the show with Jeremy Dyson. They also directed it together with Sean Holmes. The play first opened in Liverpool in 2010. It then moved to London's West End and became a huge success.
Ghost Stories was nominated for two Olivier Awards in 2011. It ran for over 1,000 shows in London. The play has also been performed in other cities like Moscow and Toronto. In 2017, a film version of Ghost Stories was released. Andy Nyman starred in the movie himself, along with Paul Whitehouse and Martin Freeman.
