Andy Nyman (born on April 13, 1966) is a talented English actor, director, writer, singer, and magician. He was nominated for a special award, the Laurence Olivier Award, for his role as Tevye in the 2019 London stage show Fiddler on the Roof.

Andy Nyman's Early Life and Career
Andy Nyman was born in Leicester, England. He started his acting career in 1989. One of his first big roles was in the 2000 film Dead Babies. Soon after, he appeared in the 2001 film Uprising. In this movie, he played a Polish-Jewish freedom fighter.
Notable Film Roles
Andy Nyman has been in many movies. In 2003, he acted in Coney Island Baby. In 2006, he appeared in the horror-comedy Severance. He also starred in the British romantic comedy Are You Ready for Love? that same year. For his role in Shut Up and Shoot Me, he won the Best Actor award at a film festival in 2006.
In 2007, Nyman was one of the main actors in the movie Death at a Funeral. Later, in 2013, he played "The Tumor" in Kick-Ass 2. He also did voice work for children's shows like Sarah & Duck and Chuggington. He even played a young Winston Churchill in the TV drama Peaky Blinders. In 2014, he appeared in the film Automata with Antonio Banderas.
Working with Derren Brown
Andy Nyman is also a skilled magician and mentalist. He has often worked with psychological illusionist Derren Brown. They have created and written many TV shows together. These include Derren Brown – Mind Control and Trick of the Mind.
They also wrote special TV shows like Russian Roulette and Messiah. Andy Nyman also helped write and direct four of Derren Brown's stage shows. These shows have toured and played in London's West End. For their show Something Wicked This Way Comes, they won an Olivier Award in 2006. Their show Enigma was also nominated for an Olivier Award in 2010.
Ghost Stories Stage Play and Film
Andy Nyman is the co-creator of the popular horror stage play Ghost Stories. This show first opened in Liverpool in 2010. It then moved to London's West End.
The play has also been performed in other cities like Moscow and Toronto. It was nominated for two Olivier Awards in 2011. Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson wrote and directed the show together. The stage play Ghost Stories ran for over 1,000 shows in London.
A movie based on the play, also called Ghost Stories, was released in 2017. Andy Nyman starred in the film himself, along with Paul Whitehouse and Martin Freeman.
