Paula Renata Marques Pequeno, known as Paula Pequeno, is a famous Brazilian volleyball player. She was born on January 22, 1982, in Brasília, Brazil. Paula is an amazing athlete who has won two Olympic gold medals in volleyball! She used to play as an outside hitter.

Paula Pequeno's Volleyball Journey

Paula Pequeno has had a fantastic career playing volleyball for Brazil. She was a key player on the Brazilian National Team from 2002 to 2012. During this time, she helped her team win many important tournaments.

One of her biggest achievements was winning the gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games. This event was held in Guadalajara, Mexico. She also helped her club team, Fenerbahçe, win a bronze medal. This was at the 2012 FIVB Women's Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar.

Paula Pequeno has won many awards for her amazing skills in volleyball. Both as an individual player and with her teams.

Individual Honors

  • 2000 U20 South American Championship – "Best Spiker": This award means she was the best at hitting the ball over the net.
  • 2005 FIVB World Grand Prix – "Most Valuable Player": She was chosen as the most important player in this big international tournament.
  • 2007 South American Championship – "Most Valuable Player": Again, she was the MVP in the South American Championship.
  • 2007–08 Brazilian Superliga – "Best Spiker"
  • 2008 Summer Olympics – "Most Valuable Player": This is a huge honor, being the MVP at the Olympic Games!
