Pedro Antonio Porro Sauceda, born on September 13, 1999, is a talented Spanish professional footballer. He plays as a right-back for the English club Tottenham Hotspur. Pedro also represents the Spanish national team.

Pedro began his football journey with Girona's reserve team, Peralada. He then moved up to the main team in 2017. In 2019, he joined the Premier League team Manchester City. He was loaned to Real Valladolid in Spain and later to Sporting CP in Portugal. At Sporting, he achieved great success, winning both the Primeira Liga and the Taça da Liga. He was also recognized as one of the best players in the league. His move to Sporting became permanent after two successful years.

In January 2023, Tottenham Hotspur signed Pedro Porro from Sporting.

Pedro first played for the Spain under-21 team in March 2019 when he was 19. He made his debut for the senior Spanish national team in 2021. He was part of the squad that reached the finals of the 2021 UEFA Nations League Finals in Italy. Spain finished as runners-up in that tournament.

Pedro Porro was born in Don Benito, a town in Spain. His parents are Luis and Eva. Pedro spent much of his early life with his grandparents because his parents had busy jobs. When he was 14, he moved to Madrid to follow his dream of becoming a professional footballer.

Starting His Career

Pedro Porro played for youth teams like Gimnástico de Don Benito and Rayo Vallecano. On August 10, 2017, he joined Girona. It is said that he chose Girona over big clubs like Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

Playing for Girona

Pedro made his first team debut for Girona on November 28, 2017. He came on as a substitute in a Copa del Rey match against Levante. Just five days later, he played for Girona's B-team.

On May 6, 2018, Pedro scored his first goals as a senior player. He scored twice in a 3–0 win against Villarreal B. He signed a new contract in July and started playing mainly as a right-back. Pedro played his first La Liga game on August 17, 2018, against Real Valladolid. He quickly became a regular starter for Girona. On January 31, 2019, he scored his first professional goal in a cup match against Real Madrid.

Time at Manchester City

On August 8, 2019, Pedro Porro joined the English club Manchester City.

Loan to Real Valladolid

After joining Manchester City, Pedro was immediately loaned to Real Valladolid in Spain's La Liga. He played 13 league games during his season there. Real Valladolid finished 13th in the league that year. However, they decided not to sign Pedro permanently.

Success with Sporting CP

On August 16, 2020, Pedro joined Sporting CP in Portugal on a two-year loan. He made his debut on September 24, 2020, in a UEFA Europa League match. Despite his young age, Pedro quickly became a key player for Sporting. He played as a starting right-back.

Pedro scored his first goal for Sporting on November 1 in a big 4–0 win. His excellent play earned him the "Defender of the Month" award for three months in a row. On January 23, he scored the winning goal in the Taça da Liga final, helping Sporting win the trophy. A few days later, he scored a fantastic goal from outside the box, which was voted "Goal of the Month." He played 30 games as Sporting won the Primeira Liga, ending a 19-year wait for the title. He was also chosen for the "Team of the Year."

In the next season (2021–22), Pedro continued to play very well. He provided an assist against Porto and scored two penalty goals in September. These performances earned him two more "Defender of the Month" awards. On November 24, he scored a goal in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund. This goal helped Sporting reach the Round of 16 for the first time in many years. Pedro later faced some hamstring injuries, which kept him out for two months. He returned in January 2022 and helped his team win the Taça da Liga final again.

On May 16, 2022, Sporting made Pedro's move permanent. He signed a three-year contract. In that season, he helped Sporting finish second in the league. He scored five goals and made seven assists. For the second year in a row, he was named in the "Team of the Year."

Joining Tottenham Hotspur

On January 31, 2023, Pedro Porro joined the Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. He initially joined on loan, with a plan for the move to become permanent later that summer.

Pedro played his first game for Tottenham on February 11, but it was a tough 4–1 loss. Despite some initial challenges, he quickly improved. He scored his first goal for the club on March 18, 2023, in a 3–3 draw against Southampton.

On January 5, 2024, Pedro scored the only goal in a 1–0 FA Cup win against Burnley. This goal helped Tottenham advance in the competition.

On May 8, 2025, Pedro scored a goal in the Europa League semi-final. This goal helped Tottenham win 2–0 against FK Bodø/Glimt and reach the final. Tottenham then won the final 1–0. Pedro's great performances throughout the tournament earned him a spot in the Europa League Team of the Season. In June 2026, it was announced that Pedro signed a new long-term contract with Tottenham.

Representing Spain

In March 2019, Pedro Porro was first called up to play for the Spain under-21 team. He made his debut on March 29 in a friendly match against Romania. In March 2021, he received his first call-up to the senior Spain national football team. He made his debut for the senior team on March 28, 2021, in a 2–1 victory against Georgia.

On May 25, 2026, Pedro was chosen for Spain’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He played his first World Cup match against Saudi Arabia, which Spain won 4–0. He also started in the Round of 32 match against Austria. In that game, he scored his first international goal, helping Spain to a 3–0 victory.
