Thomas Hepburn was born in Pelton in 1795. He was an English coal miner who became a very important trade union leader. He passed away in 1864.

Alan White was a talented drummer. He was famous for playing with the rock band Yes. Alan White was born in 1949 and sadly passed away in 2022.
