The Story of Pennock: A Look at its Past

Pennock has an interesting history! It was first known as Saint Johns. The town was started in 1871 when a railroad line reached that area. A post office also opened in 1871 under the name Saint Johns. Later, in 1891, the town's name was changed to Pennock. This new name honors George Pennock, who was an important official for the railroad.
