Péricles Raimundo Oliveira Chamusca (born on September 29, 1965) is a Brazilian football coach. He is currently the head coach for the Saudi Pro League club Al-Taawoun. A football coach is like the leader of a team, planning strategies and training players.

Early Life and Family
Péricles Chamusca and his brother, Marcelo Chamusca, were both born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Marcelo is also a football coach, just like Péricles.
Journey as a Football Coach
Péricles Chamusca has coached many different football clubs throughout his career. He has worked with teams in Brazil, Japan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
Coaching in Japan
In September 2005, Chamusca became the coach for the Japanese club Oita Trinita. He led the team to win their first-ever J.League Cup title in 2008. This was a big achievement for the club! However, in the next season, the team faced many injuries to their main players and had a tough time. Chamusca left the club in July 2009.
Coaching in Brazil
After his time in Japan, Chamusca returned to Brazil. In July 2009, he joined Sport Recife as their coach. He later coached other Brazilian teams like Avaí, where he won the Campeonato Catarinense in 2010. He also coached Portuguesa and Coritiba.
Coaching in the Middle East
Chamusca has spent a lot of his coaching career in the Middle East. He coached Al-Arabi in Qatar, winning the Sheikh Jassim Cup in 2010. He also coached El Jaish in Qatar and Al-Gharafa. In Saudi Arabia, he led Al-Faisaly to win the King Cup in the 2020–21 season, which was another major trophy.
Recent Coaching Roles
Chamusca became the manager of Al-Taawoun in Saudi Arabia in June 2022. He coached them until May 2024. Then, he moved to Neom, a club in the Saudi First Division. He successfully guided Neom to win the Saudi First Division and helped them get promoted to the top Saudi Pro League for the first time ever! After this success, he left Neom on July 3, 2025. Just a few weeks later, on July 20, 2025, it was announced that he returned to coach Al-Taawoun again.
