Perth (/pɜːrθ/) is a town in Fulton County, New York, United States. It is located in the southeastern part of Fulton County. In 2010, about 3,646 people lived there. The town is named after Perth, Scotland, a city far away in Scotland.

History of Perth
The area that is now Perth was first settled around 1772. These early settlers came from Scotland.
The town of Perth was officially created in 1838. It was formed from a part of the town of Amsterdam. This happened when Fulton County was first established.
Later, in 1842, Perth grew bigger. More land was added to the town from nearby areas. These areas were from the towns of Broadalbin and Mayfield.
Famous People from Perth
- Robert P. Aitken (1819–1873): He was a politician who served in Michigan. He also fought in the American Civil War.
- Mike Tyson: This famous boxer once lived in the Tryon School for Boys, which was located in the town.
Geography of Perth
Perth is located in New York State. It covers a total area of about 26.1 square miles (67.6 km2). Most of this area is land. Only a very small part, about 0.027 square miles (0.07 km2), is water.
The town is east of Johnstown. Johnstown is the main city in Fulton County. Perth also shares its borders with two other counties. The eastern side of Perth touches Saratoga County. The southern side touches Montgomery County.
The city of Amsterdam is about 5 miles (8 km) south of the center of Perth. A main road, New York State Route 30, runs through Perth. It goes from north to south.

Communities and Places in Perth
- Beyers Corners – This is a small community, or hamlet. It is in the eastern part of Perth. You can find it on County Road 132.
- Chuctenunda Creek – This is a stream that flows through the southeastern part of Perth. It eventually reaches the city of Amsterdam.
- Perth (formerly "Perth Center") – This is the main hamlet of Perth. It is in the north-central part of the town. It is located on New York State Route 30.
- Stairs Corners – Another small community in the eastern part of the town. It is located on County Road 126.
- West Galway – This hamlet is right by the eastern border of the town. It was settled around 1774.
- West Perth – This hamlet is near the western border of the town. It is located on County Road 107.
