Philippe Streiff (born June 26, 1955 – died December 23, 2022) was a French racing driver. He was famous for competing in Formula One races. He took part in 55 Grand Prix events, starting his F1 career in October 1984.

During his time in Formula One, he achieved one podium finish. This means he finished in the top three in a race. He also earned a total of 11 championship points.

In 1989, Philippe had a serious accident during a pre-season test. This happened at the Jacarepaguá circuit in Rio de Janeiro. The crash left him quadriplegic, meaning he could not move his arms or legs. After this, he used a wheelchair.

Even after his accident, Philippe Streiff stayed involved in motorsports. He helped organize a karting event called the Masters Karting Paris Bercy. This event brought together many famous drivers.

In 1994, Philippe tried to buy the Ligier Formula One team. He wanted to work with another racing company, Oreca. The Williams F1 team, which used the same Renault engines as Ligier, supported his plan. However, his attempt to buy the team was not successful.

A Belgian man named Luc Costermans, who set a world speed record for blind drivers, dedicated his record to Philippe. This showed how much Philippe inspired others.

Philippe Streiff passed away on December 23, 2022, at the age of 67.
