Who Were the Best Drivers?
The "Drivers' Championship" is for individual drivers. Drivers get points for finishing in the top spots in races. The driver with the most points at the end of the season wins the championship!

- Even though Alain Prost scored more total points (105) during the year, only his best 87 points counted towards the championship. Ayrton Senna scored 94 points, with 90 points counting. Because of this special rule, Senna became the World Champion!
