Pich Sophea (Khmer: ពេជ្រ សោភា), born on June 9, 1985, is a famous Cambodian singer and songwriter. She first became known in 2004 with the song "Better Day," which she sang with rapper "DJ-Sdey." This song was released by Hang Meas Production.
Pich Sophea is also an actress. She works as a goodwill ambassador for well-known brands. Many people know her as a judge on the TV show The Voice Cambodia. On this show, she helps decide which singers are the best during the "Blind Audition" part.

Early Life and First Steps in Music
Pich Sophea was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Her parents, Pich Savann and Sour Sopheap, were business people. She has four brothers and sisters. When she was a child, Sophea helped her family sell food. This helped her pay for her education.
As she grew older, Sophea started singing at a restaurant in Phnom Penh. She did this until she finished high school. In 2003, she began singing at a place called "Spark Entertainment Center." Just one year later, in 2004, a talent scout noticed her. She then signed with a big music company in Cambodia called "Hang Meas Production." Her first solo album was released there. It was called "Better Day," and the title song helped her become famous in Cambodia.
Growing Music Career
From 2005 to 2010, Pich Sophea became more and more popular. She became one of the top singers in Cambodia. Many of her songs from 2005 became big hits. Songs like "U Better Not Come Home" and "Dream about you" were played a lot on Cambodian radio. "U Better Not Come Home" even reached the Top 1 on Apsara Radio FM 97 in 2005. Because of her growing fame, she was invited to perform in Australia.
Between 2006 and 2008, Sophea released many new songs. She also performed in the "Best of The Best" concerts. These were huge concerts held at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium. Tens of thousands of fans came to watch her. In 2009, her fans invited her to perform in France. She received a lot of support there. In 2010, Channel 5 (Cambodia TV5) invited her to sing at the Asean Top10 Music Concert.
Music Tours and Charity Work
From 2011 to 2013, Pich Sophea went on a two-month tour in the United States. The Cambodian Arts Association helped arrange this tour. She gained a lot of support from Cambodians living in the United States.
In 2012, Sophea helped with a charity event. She gave an encouraging talk about education. This was for Sols 24/7 GDI Cambodia, an organization that helps provide free education. In 2013, she went on her second US tour. She performed in Stockton, California. This tour helped her become even more popular among Cambodians in America. It also helped raise the profile of Cambodian artists.
Becoming a TV Coach
Pich Sophea is well-known as a judge and coach on The Voice Cambodia. She was part of the show's first season in 2014. She also returned for the second season in 2016. On the show, she helps evaluate singers during the "Blind Audition" stage.
In the first season, her team member, Soy Rattanak, reached the final. In the second season, San Srey Lai from her team also made it to the final. After the second season of The Voice Cambodia, Sophea went to France for a medical check-up. She came back to the show for its third season in 2023. Her artist, Lim Serey HanNika, won the show that year.
Popular Pop Music
From 2015 to 2016, Sophea released many popular pop songs. She often worked with rapper G-Devith. They released a song called "Coffee 1500." This song became very popular with young people. Sophea performed "Coffee 1500" at the MAMF Migrant's Arirang Multicultural Festival in 2015. This festival was held in South Korea. Her song came in third place, representing Cambodian culture and music.
In 2016, Sophea and G-Devith released a joint album for the Khmer New Year. The album included the song "រាំញីកែងជើង" (Heel Dance). This song was a huge hit in Cambodia. It was very popular on social media. The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Mr. Hun Sen, even called it the "Music of the Year." He gave both singers a bonus of about 40,000 US dollars.
Brand Ambassador Role
In 2016, the mobile phone company Oppo chose Pich Sophea to be their brand ambassador for Oppo Cambodia. Mr. Soeur Rithya, the Marketing Manager for OPPO Cambodia, said that they chose her because she is a top singer. They believed that having a popular star like her would help more people support Oppo products in Cambodia.
Hit Songs (2017–2019)
Even after she stopped working with G-Devith in 2017–2018, Sophea remained very popular. She released many hit songs that got millions of views on YouTube. Songs like "What's Your Names," "Huy Huy," and "Frog wearing a hat" each had over 20 million views. These songs were very popular at the time.
Cambodia Top 50 Billboard (2019)
In 2019, Sophea released a song with Mr. Khemarak Sereymun. This song, called "My wife is not good," was released by Reaksmey Hang Meas Production. The song was added to the "Pleng" music player, which is run by Smart Mobile. This platform lists the most popular songs based on what listeners choose. Sophea's song reached number 4 on the "Cambodia Top 50 Billboard" weekly chart.
