Pillager (/ˈpɪlədʒər/ pill-Ə-jər) is a small city in Cass County, Minnesota, United States. In 2020, about 507 people lived there. It is part of the larger Brainerd area.

History of Pillager
The city of Pillager got its name from the Pillager Band of Chippewa Indians. A post office, which helps send mail, has been open in Pillager since 1886. This means people have been living and sending mail from Pillager for a long time!
Geography of Pillager
Pillager is located in Sylvan Township. It sits on the north side of the Crow Wing River. The city is also just east of a lake called Lake Placid.
The total area of Pillager is about 0.88 square miles (2.28 km2). Most of this area, about 0.85 square miles (2.20 km2), is land. A small part, about 0.03 square miles (0.08 km2), is water.
The main roads in Pillager are Minnesota State Highway 210 and County Road 1. These roads help people travel in and out of the community.
