History of Plevna

Plevna got its first post office in October 1877. This was an important step for the community, making it easier for people to send and receive mail.

The city was named after a historic city called Pleven in Bulgaria. Just a few months before Plevna was founded, a big battle happened there. This battle, known as the Siege of Plevna, was won by Russian and Bulgarian forces. Their victory helped Bulgaria gain its independence.
