Pontiac was a famous American car brand. It was part of a bigger company called General Motors. Pontiac cars were known for being cool, sporty, and not too expensive. Sadly, in 2009, General Motors had some financial problems and decided to stop making Pontiac cars. The last Pontiac car was built in 2010.
The name Pontiac also comes from a Native American leader from the 1700s, and it's the name of a town in Pontiac, Illinois.
