Port St. John is a community in Brevard County, Florida. It is located between the cities of Titusville and Cocoa. Port St. John is known as a census-designated place. This means it is an area defined for counting people by the government, but it is not an officially incorporated city with its own local government.
In 2020, the population of Port St. John was 23,474 people. This was a big increase from 12,267 people in 2010. Port St. John is part of a larger area called the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History of Port St. John
In 2002, some residents of Port St. John wanted to make it an official city. They formed a group called "Port St. John For Tomorrow." Their plan included five nearby communities. However, these communities did not want to be part of the new city.
A study was done to see if becoming a city was possible. This study found some problems. In November 2002, the people of Port St. John and the other communities voted on the idea. Most people, about 73%, voted against becoming a city. Because of this vote, Port St. John could not try to become a city again for ten years.

It was praised for its strong character development, positive school culture, and excellent academic results. The teaching there was called "absolutely brilliant." Atlantis Elementary was the only school in Florida to receive this honor. It has been an "A-rated" school in Florida from 2000 to 2009. The school has about 640 students from kindergarten to sixth grade.
