Port of Menteith (Scottish Gaelic: Port Loch Innis Mo Cholmaig) is a charming village in Scotland. It's located in the Stirling area. This village is special because it's the only main settlement right on the beautiful Lake of Menteith. Long ago, in 1457, King James III of Scotland officially made it a special town called a "burgh of barony." Back then, it was just known as Port. It is part of the historic county of Perthshire.
