Prévonloup is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the Broye-Vully area, which is part of the canton of Vaud. Prévonloup sits on the right side of the Broye river. It is found between the towns of Lucens and Romont.

History of Prévonloup
Prévonloup has a long history! It was first written about in official documents in 1336. Back then, its name was Provalour. A few years later, in 1340, it was called Provonlou. By 1440, the name had changed again to Prévondloup.
Geography of Prévonloup
Prévonloup covers an area of about 1.84 square kilometers (0.71 square miles). Most of this land is used for farming. About 79.3% of the area is farmland. Forests cover another 12.0% of the land. The remaining 7.6% of the land is where buildings and roads are located.
The town used to be part of the Moudon District. However, in 2006, it became part of the new Broye-Vully district.
Prévonloup's Coat of Arms
