So, it became a "half-time" school, sharing a teacher with Eton Vale State School. It closed completely later that same year.
But that wasn't the end! In April 1930, the school reopened with a slightly different name: Preston State School. It finally closed for good in 1947. The school was located around 13 Nass Road.
The Moving Church
In 2006, an old church called St David's Anglican Church found a new home in Preston. It was moved all the way from a place called Oman Ama!
This church was first built and opened in Oman Ama in 1905. It closed for a while in 1972 but reopened in 1985. Its final closure in Oman Ama was in 2002. Now, it's located at 330 Preston Boundary Road in Preston. It's used as a beautiful wedding chapel at a place called Preston Manor & Village Chapel.
