The Prime Minister of Uganda is a very important leader in the country. This person leads the Cabinet of Uganda, which is like a team of top government officials. Even though the Prime Minister leads the Cabinet, the President is the main leader of the government.
The President chooses the Prime Minister. This choice must be approved by the Parliament, which is where laws are made.
Currently, Robinah Nabbanja has been the Prime Minister since June 21, 2021.

History of the Prime Minister Role
The job of Prime Minister in Uganda was first created in 1962. This was an important year for Uganda.
In 1966, the Prime Minister at the time, Milton Obote, made a big change. He stopped the country's Constitution. He also got rid of the Prime Minister's job and made himself President.
Later, in 1980, the role of Prime Minister was brought back. It has been an important position ever since.

The main office for the Prime Minister of Uganda is in the Twin Towers. These towers are located on Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road. This area is in the Central Division of Kampala. Kampala is the capital city and the largest city in Uganda.
