Priscilla Alden Morrill (born June 4, 1927, died November 9, 1994) was an American actress. She was well-known for playing Edie Grant on the popular TV show The Mary Tyler Moore Show in 1973 and 1975.

Priscilla Morrill's Acting Journey
Priscilla grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. She studied acting at the Carnegie Institute. Her very first acting job was on stage in a play called Julius Caesar. She also performed on Broadway in a play called The Relapse.
Early Television Roles
Priscilla's first TV appearance was in 1963 on an episode of The Outer Limits called "The Man with the Power". She often appeared as a guest star on many different TV shows and in TV movies.
Becoming a Familiar Face on TV
Priscilla had regular roles on several TV series. These included Family, Bret Maverick, Santa Barbara, and Newhart. She was also a recurring character on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.”
Interestingly, actress Jean Stapleton once shared that Priscilla Morrill was her stand-in for an episode of All in the Family. This happened when Jean Stapleton had to play two different characters in the same episode!
Later Career and Final Performances
Besides her guest roles, Priscilla also starred in two TV shows that didn't last very long: In the Beginning and Baby Makes Five.
She also made a guest appearance on MacGyver in 1987. Her last time acting on screen was in an episode of Coach in 1992.
Priscilla Morrill's Passing
Priscilla Morrill passed away on November 9, 1994, at the age of 67. She died in Los Angeles from problems caused by a kidney infection. She had been married to her husband, Paul Bryson, since 1954. They lived in Port Hueneme, California. Priscilla was cremated, and her ashes were scattered at sea.
