Prosser is a small village in Adams County, Nebraska, United States. In 2020, about 73 people lived there. Prosser is part of the Hastings area, which is a group of towns and villages connected for statistics.

History of Prosser

Prosser got its start because of the railroad! In the spring of 1888, a railroad line was built through this area. The village was named after T. J. Prosser, who was an important person involved with the railroad. Prosser officially became a village in 1907. This means it got its own local government and rules.
