Pudahuel is a commune in Chile. It is part of the Santiago Metropolitan Region. The name "Pudahuel" comes from the Mapudungun language. It means "place of pools/water" or "place where seagulls gather." Santiago's main international airport, Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, is located here.

How Pudahuel is Governed

The mayor of Pudahuel for 2021–2024 is Ítalo Bravo Lizana. He is from the Equality Party.

Electoral Divisions

For elections, Pudahuel is part of a larger area called electoral district No. 8. This district also includes other communes like Colina, Lampa, Maipú, Til Til, Cerrillos, and Estación Central. Pudahuel is also part of the VII Senatorial District. This district represents the entire Metropolitan Region of Santiago in the Senate.
