The Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum is a fun museum about airplanes in Southern Colorado. It was started in the 1970s by Fred Weisbrod, who used to be the city manager of Pueblo. The museum has two big buildings, called hangars, that were built in 2005 and 2011.

These hangars are home to many airplanes and thousands of cool items. These items show the history of flight from World War I up to today. The museum also includes the International B-24 Memorial Museum and the Southern Colorado Space Museum and Learning Center. You can also see several old military vehicles there, and some of them can still be driven!

The museum is located near Pueblo, Colorado, at the Pueblo Memorial Airport. This airport used to be a military base during World War II. The Pueblo Historical Aircraft Society helps manage and take care of the museum.

The museum has about 40 airplanes, both military and civilian. It also has many military vehicles. Sometimes, the museum holds special "open cockpit days." On these days, you can sit inside some of the airplanes! They also have "fly-ins" where you can watch planes arrive at the nearby airport. The museum has a large library with many books and research materials about aviation. Volunteers run the museum. They give tours, work in the gift shop, and help fix and take care of the airplanes.

What is the History of the Museum?

The museum was started in the 1980s by a group of people who loved airplanes. In 2008, the museum asked for money to build another hangar. This new building would help them show even more airplanes and artifacts.
