The Quail Mountains are a mountain range found in the eastern part of California, USA. They are located southwest of the famous Death Valley National Park. These mountains are part of a larger desert area and reach a height of about 1,218 meters (or about 3,996 feet) above sea level.

These mountains are situated in San Bernardino County, California. If you look on a map, you'll find them just south of the Owlshead Mountains and north of the Granite Mountains. To the northwest, you'll find the Slate Range.
Nearby Locations
The Quail Mountains are right on the edge of two important areas. One side borders Death Valley National Park, which is known for being one of the hottest and driest places on Earth. The other side touches the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. This is a special area that is restricted, meaning people cannot usually visit it.
