Quebrada Fajardo is a neighborhood, also called a barrio, located in the town of Fajardo, Puerto Rico. It's a part of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 9,789 people lived there.
A Look Back in Time
After the Spanish–American War, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States in 1898. This happened because of a special agreement called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. Puerto Rico then became a territory of the United States.
In 1899, the United States Department of War conducted a special count of people. This count is called a census. The census found that 888 people lived in the Quebrada Fajardo neighborhood at that time. Over the years, the number of people living in Quebrada Fajardo has changed.

Neighborhood Areas
Quebrada Fajardo has different areas within it. One of these areas is called Sector Los Chicos.
In August 2020, plans were approved to fix Igualdad Street in Quebrada Fajardo. This street had been damaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017. Hurricane Maria was a very strong storm that caused a lot of damage across Puerto Rico.
