Raghu Ram Ambadapudi, born on April 15, 1973, is an Indian actor and TV host. He is well-known for creating and hosting popular reality shows like MTV Roadies and MTV Splitsvilla. He has worked in both Hindi and Telugu TV shows and movies.
Raghu Ram started his career by creating MTV Roadies in 2003. This show became very famous. He also launched MTV Splitsvilla in 2008. Later, he began hosting many other TV shows. He first appeared in a Hindi movie called Jhootha Hi Sahi in 2010. His big break in films came with the Tamil action comedy Doctor in 2021. He made his Telugu movie debut in 2023 with Keedaa Cola.

Early Life and Education
Raghu Ram was born in New Delhi, India. He grew up in a Telugu-speaking family. He has a twin brother named Rajiv Lakshman.
Raghu went to Deshbandhu College and Sri Venkateswara College. He later earned his degree from Osmania University in Hyderabad.
Raghu Ram's Career Journey
Starting Out in Television
Raghu Ram began his career at MTV India. He helped manage shows like MTV Love Line. He also worked on MTV Select and early seasons of MTV Super Select.
In 2004, Raghu appeared as a contestant on the reality TV show Indian Idol. He was not chosen because of his singing and his strong personality. He later shared that his reaction on the show was actually a prank. He did it on a suggestion from his colleagues and wife.
His Time at MTV India
The idea for MTV Roadies was first created by Nikhil J Alva. He wanted the show to encourage young people to do good deeds while traveling across India. The first winners, Rannvijay Singha and Ayushmann Khurana, showed this idea worked.
Raghu Ram and his brother Rajiv worked as associate producers for the show. When MTV took over the show's production, Raghu and Rajiv became anchor/producers. The show then became known for its direct and strong style. It grew very popular and became one of the longest-running reality shows in India.
Raghu was later promoted to senior supervising producer at MTV India. He also became the executive producer for Roadies and MTV Splitsvilla. In 2014, Raghu announced he would leave Roadies after 11 years. He felt it was time to move on to new things.
In 2011, Raghu, his brother Rajiv, and Rannvijay Singh faced a tough situation in Pune. Some activists tried to put black paint on their faces. This happened because they were accused of using bad language on TV during a promotional event.
Raghu Ram wrote a book about his experiences. It is called Rearview: My Roadies Journey and was published in 2013.
After Roadies
In April 2016, Raghu launched a web series called A.I.SHA My Virtual Girlfriend. It was a webcam fiction show available online. Raghu and his brother have also appeared in comedy shows like Comedy Nights Bachao and Entertainment Ki Raat.
In 2019, Raghu and Rajiv starred in Skulls and Roses on Amazon Prime Video. The show did not get good reviews and did not have a second season.

Personal Life
Raghu Ram was married to actress Sugandha Garg. They announced their separation in 2016 after being married for almost ten years. Their divorce was finalized in 2018.
In 2018, he married singer Natalie Di Luccio. They welcomed their son on January 8, 2020.
