What is Rakia?
Rakia is an alcoholic drink that is quite similar to Brandy. Most often, it contains about 40% alcohol. However, Rakia made at home can be stronger. It might have between 50% and 60% alcohol.

The most common fruit used to make Rakia is the plum. But people also use many other fruits. These include grapes, peaches, and apricots. Other popular choices are apples, pears, cherries, and figs.
