Ram Trucks, also known as RAM, is an American company that makes trucks and vans. It is part of a bigger company called Stellantis. Ram Trucks started in 2010. It was created from the truck part of the Dodge company. The name "Ram" comes from a popular line of Dodge pickup trucks.
The Ram Trucks logo, which shows the head of a ram, was first used by Dodge. Ram 1500 "Classic" trucks are built in Warren, Michigan, in the United States. They are also made in Saltillo, Mexico. Newer Ram 1500 pickups are built in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Since it began, Ram Trucks has used the slogan "Guts. Glory. Ram."

How Ram Trucks Started
Before the 1970s, Dodge had a separate brand for trucks called Fargo Trucks. These trucks were mostly sold outside the United States. After that, all trucks made by Chrysler were sold under the Dodge name.
In 2009, a company called Fiat Group became a big owner of Chrysler. They wanted to make Chrysler's vehicles better. They also decided to separate different vehicle brands. This helped each brand focus on its own unique style.
Ram Trucks became its own division of Chrysler in 2010. It took over the Dodge Ram pickup truck line. Chrysler said that Ram Trucks would focus on people who really use trucks for work. This was different from people who bought trucks just for looks.
Ram also started selling a cargo van called the Ram ProMaster. This van is based on the Fiat Ducato design. It helped fill a need for large vans in North America. The company wanted to sell more trucks, aiming for 415,000 by 2014.
Ram Trucks also wanted to compete in the large semi-trailer truck market. This was possible because Fiat, the parent company, also owned Iveco, a truck maker. Ram trucks are marketed separately from Dodge cars. This helps Dodge have a different image, like being "hip, cool, young, energetic."
Over the years, leaders at Ram Trucks have changed. In 2014, Robert Hegbloom became the head of the Ram Trucks brand. Later, Reid Bigland took over. In 2020, Timothy Kuniskis became the CEO of the Ram brand. In 2021, Fiat Chrysler merged with the French PSA Group to form Stellantis.
