Rashad Smith was born on April 20, 1997. He is an American football player who plays as a linebacker. Currently, he plays for the Birmingham Stallions in the United Football League (UFL). Before becoming a professional, he played college football at Florida Atlantic University.

Early Life and High School Football
Rashad went to Homestead High School. He was a talented football player there. In his junior year, he recovered the ball after the other team dropped it six times. During his senior year, he played in 10 games. He made 102 tackles, got 8 sacks, and forced the other team to drop the ball 3 times.
College Football Career
Rashad Smith earned a football scholarship to Florida Atlantic University.
Freshman Year
As a first-year student, called a "true freshman," he played in 11 games. He made 22 tackles, with 2 of them stopping the opponent for a loss of yards. He also had one sack. Professional Football Career
Chicago Bears (First Time)
After the 2020 NFL draft on April 27, Rashad Smith was signed by the Chicago Bears. He was not kept on the main team roster on September 5, 2020, but he signed with their practice squad the next day.
Dallas Cowboys
On September 15, 2020, the Dallas Cowboys signed Rashad from the Bears' practice squad. He was on the active roster for 6 games but did not play in any of them. He was released by the Cowboys on October 26.
Philadelphia Eagles
On November 2, 2020, Rashad was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad. He was moved up to the main team for their game against the New Orleans Saints on December 12, but went back to the practice squad after the game. He was promoted to the active roster on January 1, 2021. The Eagles released him on August 29, 2021.
San Francisco 49ers
On September 3, 2021, Rashad Smith signed with the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. He was released just a week later on September 10, 2021.
Chicago Bears (Second Time)
On September 23, 2021, Rashad signed with the Chicago Bears practice squad again. He was released on October 5. He re-signed with their practice squad on October 13 but was released again on December 7.
Atlanta Falcons
On December 14, 2021, Rashad signed with the Atlanta Falcons practice squad. He signed a special contract with the Falcons on January 10, 2022, that would keep him with the team for the next season. However, he was released on August 16, 2022.
Birmingham Stallions
Rashad Smith signed with the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL on November 3, 2022. He was part of the team that won the USFL Championship in 2023. He was not part of the team's roster after the 2024 UFL dispersal draft on January 15, 2024.
