Raveena Tandon (born October 26, 1972) is a famous Indian actress. She is well-known for her work in Hindi films. Raveena has won many awards for her acting. These include a National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards. In 2023, she received the Padma Shri. This is the fourth highest civilian honor in India.
Raveena is the daughter of director Ravi Tandon. She started acting in 1991 in the film Patthar Ke Phool. This movie helped her win the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She became a leading actress in many successful action films. These include Dilwale (1994) and Mohra (1994). Other hits were Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996) and Ziddi (1997).
She also acted in comedies with Govinda. Some of these were Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998) and Dulhe Raja (1998). In the 2000s, Raveena tried different types of movies. She earned praise for her roles in Daman and Aks. She won the National Film Award for Best Actress for Daman.

Raveena Tandon was born on October 26, 1972. Her birthplace was Bombay, which is now called Mumbai. Her father, Ravi Tandon, was a filmmaker. Her mother's name is Veena Tandon. Raveena is related to actor Mac Mohan. This makes her a cousin of Manjari Makijany. Her brother, Rajiv Tandon, was married to actress Rakhee Tandon. Actress Kiran Rathod is also her cousin.
Raveena went to Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu. She later studied at Mithibai College in Mumbai. She started her career as a model. While working as an intern, she received her first offer to act in a film.

First Steps in Films
Raveena's first film was Patthar Ke Phool in 1991. This movie was a success. It helped her start her career in Bollywood.
Big Hits in the 90s
In 1994, Raveena had a very busy year. She appeared in ten films. Many of these movies were very successful. Four of her films were among the highest-earning movies of that year. These included Mohra, Dilwale, Aatish, and Laadla. She became known as "Mast Mast Girl." This nickname came from her performance in the song "Tu cheez badi hai mast mast" from the film Mohra.
In 1995, Raveena acted with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time in Zamaana Deewana. Her career got back on track with hit films like Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996). She also starred in Ziddi (1997) with Sunny Deol. This film was a huge hit that year. Salaakhen (1998) was another successful movie for her.

Raveena Tandon adopted two girls in 1995. Their names are Pooja and Chhaya. At the time, they were 11 and 8 years old. She adopted them as a single mother.
Raveena started dating film distributor Anil Thadani. This was during the making of her film Stumped (2003). Their engagement was announced in November 2003. She married Anil Thadani on February 22, 2004. The wedding took place at Jag Mandir Palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan. They followed both Punjabi Khatri and Sindhi traditions. Raveena gave birth to her daughter, Rasha, in March 2005. In July 2008, she had her son, Ranbirvardhan.
