Ree Drummond, born Anne Marie Smith on January 6, 1969, is a famous American blogger, author, and TV star. She became well-known for her blog, The Pioneer Woman. This blog shared stories about her life on a ranch in rural Oklahoma.

Because her blog was so popular, Ree got her own TV show. It is also called The Pioneer Woman and started on The Food Network in 2011. She has also written many cookbooks, children's books, and a book about her own life. In 2015, Drummond started selling products for the home. These included cookware, kitchen tools, and clothing.

Early Life and Education

Ree Drummond, whose nickname is "Ree," grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She lived in a home that looked over a country club. She has two brothers and one sister.

Ree finished Bartlesville High School in 1987. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles, California, for college. She went to the University of Southern California. She first studied journalism and then changed to gerontology. This is the study of aging. Ree graduated from college in 1991. She had planned to go to law school in Chicago. However, her plans changed when she met and married Ladd Drummond. Her husband is part of the rich Drummond ranching family.

Ree Drummond started her blog in May 2006. It was first called Confessions of a Pioneer Woman. She later changed the name to The Pioneer Woman. She bought her own website address, thepioneerwoman.com, in October 2006.

On September 21, 1996, Ree married Ladd Drummond. He was born on January 22, 1969. Ladd is a fourth-generation member of the well-known Drummond ranching family. They live on a working cattle ranch. It is about 8 miles west of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. They have five children and one grandchild.

In late 2016, the Drummonds opened a new business. It is called The Mercantile. It is a restaurant and retail store. They bought and fixed up a 100-year-old building in downtown Pawhuska for it.

In 2018, the Drummonds opened more businesses. They opened a bed and breakfast called "The Boarding House." They also opened a pizza place called "P-Town Pizza." In 2020, the Drummonds opened "Charlie's Sweet Shop." This shop sells ice cream and candy. It was named after their basset hound dog, Charlie, who passed away in 2017.
