History of Reedsville
Reedsville got its name from James Reed. He moved to this area in 1827. Mr. Reed owned much of the land where the town is today.
The very first house in Reedsville was built in 1855. The town was officially named Reedsville in 1856. Later, in 1906, Reedsville became an "incorporated" town. This means it officially became a city or town with its own local government.
