Reggie White (born March 22, 1970) is an American football player. He played as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). Reggie played for the San Diego Chargers and the New England Patriots. He was chosen by the Chargers in the 1992 NFL draft. He also played college football at North Carolina A&T State University.
Early Life and High School Football
Reggie White grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. He played high school football for the Milford Mill Academy Millers. In 1987, he helped his team win the state Class C championship. This was a big achievement for him and his team.
Playing in the NFL
Reggie White was picked by the San Diego Chargers in the 1992 NFL draft. He played for the Chargers from 1992 to 1994. During this time, he played in 22 games. After that, he joined the New England Patriots. He played 16 games for the Patriots in the 1995 season. He started in seven of those games.
Coaching Career
After his time as a player, Reggie White became a head coach. He went back to his old high school, Milford Mill Academy. He has been the head coach for the Millers football program since 2002.
Coach White has led his team to great success. They have reached the Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association final four three times. In 2017, his team even played in the state championship game.
