Regla Maritza Bell MacKenzie (born July 6, 1970) is a famous Cuban former volleyball player. She is known for winning many gold medals. Regla played for the Cuban national volleyball team. She won three gold medals at the Olympic Games. These wins were in 1992, 1996, and 2000. She also won gold at the FIVB World Championship in 1994 and 1998. Regla was a powerful left-handed hitter. In 2024, she was honored by being added to the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.

Regla Bell's Amazing Volleyball Career

Regla Bell had a very successful career in volleyball. She played for her country's national team and for many clubs. Her achievements show how talented and dedicated she was.

Playing for the National Team

Regla Bell helped the Cuban national team win many top awards. She won three gold medals in a row at the Summer Olympics. These were in 1992 (Barcelona), 1996 (Atlanta), and 2000 (Sydney). This is a rare and incredible achievement in sports.

She also won two gold medals in a row at the FIVB World Championship. These wins were in 1994 and 1998. Regla also helped her team win four gold medals in a row at the FIVB World Cup. These victories happened in 1989, 1991, 1995, and 1999. She was the captain of the Cuban team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Regla also earned medals at the Pan American Games. She won gold in 1991 and 1995. She added a silver medal in 1999.

Playing for Volleyball Clubs

Besides playing for her country, Regla Bell also played for many professional volleyball clubs. In the 2008–09 season, she played in the Spanish Superliga. She was named the "Most Valuable Player" (MVP) and the "Best Scorer." She made 439 successful hits during that season.

After Spain, Regla played for São Caetano/Blausiegel in Brazil during the 2009–10 season. She then returned to Spain to play for Fígaro Peluqueros Tenerife in 2010-11. Later, she played for the Indonesian club Monokwari Valeria in 2012–13. In 2014, she signed a short contract with PLDT HOME TVolution, a team from the Philippines.
