Rendezvous Mountain is a big mountain in the southern part of the Teton Range in Wyoming, USA. It stands tall at 10,455 feet (3,187 meters). The very top of Rendezvous Mountain is called Rendezvous Peak, which is even taller at 10,927 feet (3,330 meters).
Part of the mountain, especially on its west and north sides, is inside Grand Teton National Park. The rest of this huge mountain is in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. This mountain stretches for about 5 miles (8 kilometers) from Granite Canyon in the north to Phillips Canyon in the south.
Visiting Rendezvous Mountain
Even though there are many high points on Rendezvous Mountain, the most popular one is the North Peak. This is because the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has a special tram that takes people right to the top!
Fun in Winter
In the winter, the tram carries skiers up the mountain. They can then ski down the snowy slopes, enjoying the beautiful views.
Fun in Summer
During the summer, the tram is still busy! It brings up people who want to see the amazing scenery. Many hikers also use the tram to start their adventures.
Hiking Trails
One popular hike is to go down the Rendezvous Mountain Trail. This trail connects to the Granite Canyon Trail. It's a long hike, going down about 4,100 feet (1,200 meters) over 12.3 miles (19.8 kilometers). It's a great way to explore the mountain's natural beauty.
