Erika "Riki" Lindhome is an American actress, comedian, and musician. She is famous for her role as Dr. Valerie Kinbott in the Netflix series Wednesday. She is also known as a singer and songwriter for the comedy music duo Garfunkel and Oates with her friend Kate Micucci.
Lindhome has appeared in many popular TV shows. She had roles in Gilmore Girls and The Big Bang Theory. She also co-created and starred in the comedy show Another Period. As a voice actress, she played Kimberly in the animated show Duncanville and Poison Ivy in The Lego Batman Movie.
She has also acted in movies like the mystery film Knives Out and the action-adventure movie Million Dollar Baby.

Early Life and Education
Erika Lindhome was born in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Portville, New York. She has mostly Swedish and Norwegian roots. After graduating from Portville High School in 1997, she went to Syracuse University. She studied communications and film and graduated in 2000.
When she was a teenager in 1997, Lindhome won a big prize in an essay contest from the John F. Kennedy Library. She wrote about U.S. Representative Carolyn McCarthy. McCarthy was inspired to run for office after her husband was killed in a shooting. Lindhome's essay was about McCarthy's courage to make a change.
Career
Acting on Screen
Riki Lindhome began her acting career without an agent. She started with small roles in TV shows like Titus and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. One of her first major movie roles was in Million Dollar Baby, which won an Academy Award. She played Mardell Fitzgerald, the main character's sister.
From 2005 to 2006, she played the character Juliet in the popular TV series Gilmore Girls. She later appeared in The Big Bang Theory as Ramona Nowitzki, a student who was a big fan of Sheldon Cooper. She returned to the show in 2017 for two more episodes.
In 2015, Lindhome co-created the show Another Period with Natasha Leggero. The show was a comedy about a rich family in the early 1900s. Lindhome played one of the main characters, Beatrice Bellacourt. She also had a fun role on The Muppets as Fozzie Bear's girlfriend, Becky.
Lindhome is also a talented voice actress. In 2017, she voiced the villain Poison Ivy in the animated movie The Lego Batman Movie. From 2020 to 2022, she voiced Kimberly Harris, the younger sister of the main character in the animated show Duncanville.
In 2019, she was part of the all-star cast of the mystery movie Knives Out, playing Donna Thrombey. In 2022, she became well-known to a new audience as Dr. Valerie Kinbott in the hit Netflix series Wednesday. Her character was a therapist for Wednesday Addams.
Music and Comedy
In 2007, Lindhome and her friend Kate Micucci formed a comedy-folk duo called Garfunkel and Oates. Lindhome plays the guitar and sings, while Micucci plays the ukulele and sings. They write funny songs about everyday life.
The duo became very popular online and on TV. They even had their own TV series, Garfunkel and Oates, which aired in 2014. In 2016, their comedy special was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, which is a major award for television shows.
Other Projects
Lindhome is also a writer. She wrote the script for an animated musical movie called Steps. She is also helping to produce the movie and is writing the song lyrics with her music partner, Kate Micucci.
In 2024, Lindhome created a one-woman musical show called "Dead Inside." She first performed it at a big arts festival in Scotland. In July 2025, she performed the show in Washington, D.C.
Personal Life
Lindhome has a son, who was born in March 2022. She has been married to actor and comedian Fred Armisen since 2022.
