Rineloricaria eigenmanni is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is native to South America, where it is known from Venezuela, with its type locality being listed as near Sarareand is also found in and the Orinoco River in Venezuela and Colombia . The species reaches 10.2 cm (4 inches) in standard length and is believed to be a facultative air-breather.
Rineloricaria eigenmanni appears in the aquarium trade, where it is sometimes known as the common whiptail catfish.
