Breakthrough with Dreamland

The song slowly started selling more and more. Within two weeks of its release in 1995, it sold over 350,000 copies across Europe. It quickly became the number one song in many countries. By 1997, "Children" had sold more than five million copies worldwide.
This huge success earned Miles many awards. He received platinum records in several countries. He also won a Brit Award in 1997 for Best International Male Newcomer. He was the first Italian artist to win this award. He also won a World Music Award for being the World's Best Selling Male Newcomer.
Miles' next song was "Fable". Part of this song was used in the movie trailer for Ever After. His first album, Dreamland, came out in Europe in June 1996. It was released in the United States a month later. The album included a popular cover of "One and One" with singer Maria Nayler. This song also reached number one on the Euro Top 100 Singles Chart.
Second Album: 23am
In November 1997, Miles released "Freedom". This song was a key track on his second album, 23am. It featured vocals by Kathy Sledge.
23am had a different feel from his first album. It included more songs with lyrics. However, it still kept Miles' well-known piano sound from Dreamland.
Starting His Own Label: Organik
After leaving his old record labels, Robert Miles started his own independent record company. He named it Salt Records. In 2001, he released his third album, Organik. This album featured the new song "Paths" with vocals by Nina Miranda.
