Robertson County is a county located in the state of Kentucky. It is in the United States. As of the 2020 census, about 2,193 people lived there.
The main town, or county seat, is Mount Olivet. The county is named after George Robertson. He was a Kentucky Congressman from 1817 to 1821. Robertson County is Kentucky's smallest county. It is the smallest in both total area and population.

History of Robertson County
Robertson County was created on February 11, 1867. It was formed from parts of four other counties. These were Bracken County, Harrison County, Mason County, and Nicholas County.
The county got its name from George Robertson. He was a judge and also a member of Congress.

Robertson County covers a total area of about 100 square miles. Almost all of this area, 100 square miles, is land. Only a tiny part, 0.2 square miles, is water. This makes it the smallest county in Kentucky by land area.
