Where Does Rocky Ponds Creek Flow?
Rocky Ponds Creek starts in the Great Dividing Range. This is a large mountain range in eastern Australia. It begins near a place called Rocky Ponds. This spot is about 16 kilometers (10 miles) east of the town of Murrumburrah.
The creek then flows mostly west and south. It travels for about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles). Along its journey, the creek drops about 89 meters (292 feet) in height.
Joining Other Rivers
Finally, Rocky Ponds Creek meets another stream called Jugiong Creek. This meeting point is west of Binalong. Jugiong Creek then flows into the larger Murrumbidgee River. All these rivers are connected, forming a big network of waterways.
Crossing the Creek
A road called the Burley Griffin Way crosses over Rocky Ponds Creek. This happens in an area known as the parish of Cumbamurra.
