Rolan Alfonso Bell, born on October 17, 1983, is a talented British actor. He grew up in West London and has Jamaican family roots. Rolan is famous for his roles in TV shows like EastEnders, where he played Theo Kelly in 2009. He also starred as Sgt King (Kingy) in the BBC drama Our Girl. Currently, he is playing Ike Turner in the musical Tina at the Aldwych Theatre in London's West End. Before that, he was Robert in The Play That Goes Wrong.

Rolan Bell's Early Life and Acting Journey
Rolan Bell was born in London, England. He is one of seven children in his family. His parents are from Jamaica. Rolan started learning to act in 2000. He first studied at Hammersmith and West London College. After two years, he went on to the Drama Centre London.
First Roles and Stage Success
Rolan's first professional acting job was in the TV show Doctors in 2006. He also performed in many plays. One of his big roles was playing Jimmy Cliff in The Harder They Come. He also played Scar in The Lion King musical. In December 2010, he took on the lead role of Fela Kuti in the Fela! show on Broadway.
Musicals and TV Shows
Rolan has been in many popular musicals. He played Coalhouse Walker Jr in Ragtime, the Musical. He also had a role as Britney in the We Will Rock You world tour in 2013. For his amazing performance in Memphis The Musical, he was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2015. This award was for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical.
Rolan took a break from the West End stage to act in the BBC show Our Girl. In this show, he played a character named “Kingy” alongside actress Michelle Keegan. In 2022, Rolan returned to the West End. He played the role of Robert in The Play That Goes Wrong. Right now, you can see him playing Ike Turner in Tina The Tina Turner Musical at the Aldwych Theatre.
Pantomime Performances
Rolan Bell has also performed in pantomimes. These are fun, musical plays often performed around Christmas. He played Silly Billy in Jack and The Beanstalk at the Cambridge Arts Theatre. A reviewer said Rolan was "superb at involving the audience." More recently, Rolan played Abananzar in Aladdin. For this role, he won "Best Villain" at The UK Pantomime Awards in 2022.
