Michelle Keegan (born June 3, 1987) is a famous English actress. She is best known for playing Tina McIntyre in the TV show Coronation Street from 2008 to 2014. She also played Georgie Lane in the BBC drama Our Girl from 2016 to 2020.
Michelle has also starred in other popular TV shows. These include Tina and Bobby (2017), Brassic (2019–present), Ten Pound Poms (2023–present), and Fool Me Once (2024).

Early Life and Education
Michelle Keegan was born in Stockport, England. Her parents are Michael Keegan and Jackie Turner. She has some family history from Gibraltar and Italy, and also Ireland.
She went to St Patrick's RC High School near Manchester. After school, she studied acting at the Manchester School of Acting. Before becoming an actress, Michelle worked at a department store called Selfridges. She also worked as a check-in agent at Manchester Airport.
Acting Career Highlights
Starting Out in Coronation Street
In late 2007, Michelle tried out for a part in the TV show Coronation Street. She got the role of Tina McIntyre, even though about 900 other people auditioned. She played Tina for six years. Her character was part of many important stories on the show.
Michelle decided to leave Coronation Street in 2013. Her character, Tina, was killed off, and her last episode was on June 2, 2014. In 2008, Michelle also appeared as Tina in a special Coronation Street film called Coronation Street: Out of Africa.
Moving to New Roles
In 2015, Michelle was cast in the BBC drama series Ordinary Lies. She played a character named Tracy Shawcross.
A big role for Michelle came in June 2015. She was chosen to play Georgie Lane in the BBC drama series Our Girl. This show is about soldiers. Michelle took over the main role from another actress. She starred in Our Girl from 2016 to 2020.
In 2016, Michelle also had a guest role in the comedy series Plebs. In the same year, she started filming Tina and Bobby. This ITV drama was about the relationship between Tina Dean and famous footballer Bobby Moore. Michelle played Tina in the three-part series, which aired in January 2017.

Michelle Keegan plays the main character, Erin Croft, in the comedy-drama series Brassic. This show started in 2019 and is still ongoing.
In May 2022, Michelle was cast in a new BBC and STAN series called Ten Pound Poms. This drama is about British people who moved to Australia after the Second World War. Filming for this show began in Australia soon after.
In 2024, Michelle starred as the main character, Maya Stern, in the Netflix thriller series Fool Me Once. This show was based on a book by Harlan Coben.
Personal Life
Michelle Keegan was engaged to singer Max George in 2011, but they ended their relationship in 2012.
In September 2013, Michelle announced her engagement to TV personality Mark Wright. They got married on May 24, 2015. In December 2024, the couple shared that they were expecting their first child together.
