Ronald Oneil Spence, Jr., known professionally as Ronny J, is an American hip hop music producer and artist. He is famous for creating beats and sounds for many popular hip hop artists. Since the mid-2010s, he has worked with big names like Kanye West, Eminem, Denzel Curry, XXXTentacion, Lil Pump, and Juice Wrld.

Early Life and Music Beginnings

Ronald Oneil Spence, Jr. was born in Camden, New Jersey, on September 14, 1992. He grew up in Woodbury, New Jersey. From a young age, Ronny J was interested in music. He started by playing drums when he was very young, which helped him discover his love for creating sounds.

Before focusing on music, Ronny J also enjoyed arts and architecture. He attended Rowan College at Gloucester County in New Jersey. Later, he moved to Miami, where he joined a music group called C9, led by artist Denzel Curry. He also became part of another group called Raider Klan.

Ronny J's Music Career

In May 2017, Ronny J signed a record deal with two companies: Independently Popular and Atlantic Records. This was a big step in his career.

On February 23, 2018, he released his first mixtape with Atlantic Records. It was called OMGRonny. A mixtape is like an album, but often used to introduce new music or styles.

Later, on August 14, 2020, Ronny J released his first official studio album, titled Jupiter. This album featured new songs and showed his growth as an artist.

Ronny J released a single called "Emoji" on September 14, 2023. This song was special because it featured the late artist XXXTentacion. It was released more than five years after XXXTentacion's passing. "Emoji" is a new version of a song that was first released in 2016. Ronny J later shared on Instagram that "Emoji" would be his last song with XXXTentacion. The song "Emoji" was included on Ronny J's second album, Charged Up.
