Roosevelt Theodore Nix (born April 17, 1967 – died December 8, 2023) was an American football player. He played as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). He was part of teams like the Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings.

Roosevelt Nix went to Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio. He then played college football before being drafted into the NFL. He also played in the Arena Football League (AFL) for several teams.

College Football Journey

Roosevelt Nix started his college football career at the College of DuPage. He played for the Chaparrals there. Later, he moved to Central State University and played one season for the Central State Marauders.

Cincinnati Bengals Draft Pick

The Cincinnati Bengals chose Roosevelt Nix in the 1992 NFL draft. He was the 199th player picked overall. He played for the Bengals for two seasons, in 1992 and 1993. During this time, he played in sixteen games.

Time with the Minnesota Vikings

After playing for the Bengals, Nix joined the Minnesota Vikings. He played in two games for the Vikings during the 1994 football season.

Roosevelt Nix also spent time with other NFL teams. He signed with the Green Bay Packers in March 1995. However, he was released by the Packers a month later. He then signed with the Arizona Cardinals in June 1995.
