Rosa María Morató is a talented runner from Spain. She was born on June 19, 1979, in Navarcles. Rosa is famous for competing in a special type of race called the steeplechase. This race involves running over hurdles and water jumps.

Rosa Morató has achieved many great things in her running career. She competed for Spain in the 2008 Summer Olympics in the steeplechase event. At the 2007 World Championships, she finished in a strong eighth place.

She set her personal best time in the steeplechase in July 2007. This amazing time was 9 minutes and 26.23 seconds. She achieved this in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. Rosa also holds the Spanish record for the 10-kilometer race. She ran it in 32 minutes and 6 seconds at the 2009 San Silvestre de Barcelona race.

Rosa was also a very successful cross country runner. She often finished in the top ten at the European Cross Country Championships. In 2007, she won a bronze medal for herself. Her team also won a gold medal at the 2007 European Cross Country Championships. Her teammate, Marta Domínguez, also helped the team win.

In 2009, Rosa won a silver medal at the European Cross Country Championships. She also helped the Spanish women's team win a bronze medal.

Rosa won her first international steeplechase medal in 2010. This was at the 2010 Ibero-American Championships in San Fernando, Cádiz. She won the gold medal and set a new championship record. She beat another runner named Zulema Fuentes-Pila.

Later in 2010, she won a silver medal at the 2010 European Team Championships. Only Yuliya Zarudneva finished ahead of her. Rosa just missed out on reaching the steeplechase final at the 2010 European Athletics Championships that summer.

Before the 2010 European Cross Country Championships, she placed second in two races. She was runner-up at the Cross de Soria and the Cross Internacional Valle de Llodio. However, she could not compete in the championships due to a hamstring injury.
