Rosa María Morató (born June 19, 1979) is a Spanish runner. She is best known for competing in the steeplechase, which is a running race with obstacles like hurdles and water jumps.
Rosa María showed her talent early on. She finished eighth at the 2007 World Championships. She even represented Spain in the steeplechase at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing! Her fastest time in the steeplechase is 9 minutes and 26.23 seconds, which she achieved in July 2007. She also holds the Spanish record for running 10 kilometers, finishing in 32 minutes and 6 seconds at the 2009 San Silvestre de Barcelona race.
Morató has also done very well in cross country running, which is a race over natural terrain. She often placed in the top ten at the annual European Cross Country Championships. In 2007, she won a bronze medal for herself and a team gold medal with her Spanish teammates. She then won a silver medal at the 2009 championships, helping the Spanish women's team win a bronze medal.

Rosa María Morató won her first international steeplechase medal at the 2010 Ibero-American Championships. She won the gold medal and set a new championship record! She then earned a silver medal at the 2010 European Team Championships. Later that summer, she just missed out on reaching the final at the 2010 European Athletics Championships. Unfortunately, she had to miss the 2010 European Cross Country Championships because of a hamstring injury.
