Rosario Alto is a small area, also known as a barrio, located in the town of San Germán, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 721 people lived there.
A Look Back at History
After the Spanish–American War ended, Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States. This happened because of a special agreement called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. Puerto Rico then became an unincorporated territory of the U.S.
In 1899, the United States Department of War counted everyone living in Puerto Rico. This count is called a census. The census found that 811 people lived in Rosario Alto barrio at that time.
