Rostislav Olesz (born 10 October 1985) is a professional ice hockey player from the Czech Republic. He plays as a left winger for HK Nový Jičín in the Czech Republic's second league. Rostislav was chosen early in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers. He was the seventh player picked overall that year.

Rostislav Olesz's Hockey Journey
Rostislav Olesz started his professional hockey career in 2005. He played for several teams during his time in the NHL and other leagues.
Playing for the Florida Panthers
Rostislav began his NHL journey with the Florida Panthers. He played many games for them, showing his skills as a left winger. He was a key part of their team for several seasons.
Moving to the Chicago Blackhawks
In 2011, Olesz was traded from the Florida Panthers to the Chicago Blackhawks. He played a few games for the Blackhawks. He also spent some time playing for their minor league team, the Rockford IceHogs, in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Time with the New Jersey Devils
After leaving the Blackhawks, Olesz signed a one-year contract with the New Jersey Devils in 2013. He played ten games for the Devils, getting two assists. Later that season, he moved to their AHL team, the Albany Devils.
Playing in Europe
After his time in North America, Rostislav Olesz returned to Europe. He signed with SC Bern, a team in Switzerland's top league, the National League A. He continued his career there and later played for other European teams, including SCL Tigers and HC Vítkovice Ridera in the Czech Extraliga.

Olympic Games
