Roza Kuanyshkyzy Rymbayeva (Kazakh: Роза Қуанышқызы Рымбаева, Roza Quanyşqyzy Rymbaeva) is a very famous singer from Kazakhstan. She was born in 1957. She is known as a "People's Artist" of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic. This was a big honor she received in 1986.

Roza Rymbayeva was born on October 28, 1957. Her family lived near a railway station in the East Kazakhstan Province. Her parents worked for the railway. She studied music and acting at an institute in Almaty, graduating in 1984.
From 1976 to 1979, she was the main singer for a youth pop group called "Gulder." This name means "Flowers." After that, in 1979, she joined another pop group called "Arai." Her husband, T. Okapov, managed this band.
Since 1979, Roza Rymbayeva has been a main singer for Kazakhconcert. This is the biggest concert organization in Kazakhstan. She also teaches at the Republic pop-circus college.
Roza Rymbayeva has won many international singing competitions. She won the "Golden Orpheus" in Bulgaria in 1977. She also won a big prize at a contest in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1979. In 1983, she won the grand-prix at the "Gala-83" international contest in Cuba.
Her songs include music by Kazakh and international composers. She also sings traditional Kazakh songs in her own special way. Roza Rymbayeva has been singing for over 25 years. She is still performing and arranging her own concerts. People in Kazakhstan sometimes call her the "Prima Donna" because she has been so popular for many decades. Roza Rymbayeva became a "People's Artist" when she was only 28 years old. In 2005, she received a personal star on the Star Square in Moscow.
On April 2, 2008, Roza Rymbayeva was a torchbearer. She carried the torch for the 2008 Summer Olympics torch relay in Almaty.
