Where is Rural View?
Rural View is located about 11.7 kilometers (that's about 7 miles) north of the main city area of Mackay. It's easy to get to by road!
A Look Back: Rural View's History
Rural View has an interesting history! One of its first schools, Eimeo Road State School, opened way back on 5 February 1934.
The suburb itself was officially named and given its boundaries in September 1999. This means it became a recognized place on the map.
More recently, two other schools opened their doors: Mackay Northern Beaches State High School started on 1 January 2013, and St Brendan's Catholic Primary School welcomed students in 2015.
