Ruth Duccini (born July 23, 1918 – died January 16, 2014) was an American actress. She was well-known for being one of the last two surviving Munchkins from the famous 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz. The other surviving Munchkin was Jerry Maren. Ruth Duccini was the last female Munchkin from the movie to pass away. She was also the oldest of the surviving Munchkin actors.

A Special Star
One of her most recent public appearances was very special. She and the other surviving Munchkins from The Wizard of Oz received a star. This star was placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It is a famous sidewalk in Hollywood, California, honoring celebrities.
What She Earned
In 2013, Ruth Duccini could not remember her exact pay for filming Oz. However, she did say that the actors who played Munchkin villagers were paid $125 each week. This was during the time they were filming the movie.
A Song and a Sadness
Ruth Duccini was in the news again when Baroness Margaret Thatcher died. Margaret Thatcher was a former Prime Minister (leader) of the United Kingdom. Some people who did not like her tried to make the song "Ding-Dong! The Witch Is Dead" popular on the radio. They wanted to celebrate her passing.
Ruth Duccini and Jerry Maren, another Munchkin actor, both said this campaign was "terrible." They were very sad about it. They insisted that the song was never meant to be used in such a way.

Ruth Duccini passed away on January 16, 2014. She was 95 years old. She died from natural causes in Las Vegas, Nevada.
