Early Life and Music Beginnings

Ruth Lorenzo was born in the Region of Murcia, Spain, on November 10, 1982. From a very young age, she loved music. She was a big fan of the musical Annie and would sing along to the songs in English, even before she understood the words.

When she was six, Ruth discovered the opera singer Montserrat Caballé. Her mother bought her an album, and Ruth started singing opera. She practiced imitating Caballé's voice until she could sing perfectly in tune.

At age 12, Ruth's family moved to Utah in the United States. There, she finally had the chance to get involved in music at school. Her teachers encouraged her a lot. She entered competitions and played lead roles in school musicals like The Phantom of the Opera.

When Ruth was 16, her family moved back to Spain. She had to stop her singing lessons because of money problems. For a while, she gave up on her dream of becoming a professional singer.

At 19, Ruth joined a rock band. This was a new challenge for her, as she had only sung opera before. She decided to quit her job in her family's business to follow her music dreams again. After three years of touring Spain, the band broke up. Later, Ruth worked as a public relations consultant and performer at a place called Polaris World.
